As the world economy recovers, successful investors like billionaire philanthropist Warren Buffet are showing greater interest in investing in businesses with high growth potential. In 2021 Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway has invested $4.2B in Hewlett Packard (11% stake), Occidental Petroleum, and Alleghany Corporation reports Julia Horowitz of CNN Business. Berkshire Hathaway’s major investments include Apple, Coca Cola, American Express, Bank of America, Kraft-Heinz, Verizon, and Chevron.

In 2022 Buffet has shown great interest in lesser-known firms like Snowflake, Nu Holdings, and Taiwan Semiconductor. In the post pandemic era, Buffet has dropped his airline, bank, and pharmaceutical stocks reports Dan Burrows of Kiplinger.

Yahoo Finance’s Fatima Farooq reports that in 2021 Buffet increased his stake in Chevron by 34%. The San Ramon based Chevron operates in over 180 countries. Berkshire has a stake value of $55 million in the Johnson & Johnson healthcare company. Another Berkshire investment, Verizon Communications, has raised its dividend for the past 17 years.

Buffet is the fifth-wealthiest person in the world with a net worth of $118 billion.
