The 95th Thanksgiving Parade in NYC

Macy’s 95th Thanksgiving Parade took place in Manhattan on Nov 25 at 9am Eastern Standard Time, airing on NBC. The parade followed a 2.5 mile route and had floats like Grogu from the Mandalorian and Tiptoe (the first balloon puppet) reports Country Living. Musical performers like Carrie Underwood, Jimmie Allen, Chris Lane participated in the event. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio commented, “We are ecstatic to welcome back Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, such a world renowned celebration brought upon the people in New York and the nation as a whole and we applaud Macy’s creativity during the event and managing to bring this event for 95 years since its beginning and we welcome anyone to spectate this wonderful parade.” Parade organizers only allowed 20% spectator capacity. There were at least 80-100 handlers for the balloon characters in the parade. Marching bands and cheerleaders joined in on the festivities.
