Clocks Fall Back at 2AM

Starting on November 6, mornings will be brighter at 6 a.m. and evenings will be darker at 5 p.m. as Daylight Saving Time ends.

On March 13 mornings were darker and evenings were brighter until 7 p.m. as Daylight Saving Time begins. In the US all states follow DST except for Arizona and Hawaii. American territories Puerto Rico and Guam do not observe DST. Following World War I, Congress passed the Standard Time Act, establishing time zones and declaring that all clocks would be moved ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m in early March. During WWII, DST was once again imposed to save fuel, reports The Old Farmer’s Almanac.
