Warner wins Gold for Decathlon

Canadian track and field star, Damian Warner made history as the first gold medalist from Canada in the mens decathlon at the Tokyo Olympics. Warner earned 9,018 points, competing in 10 different grueling events including sprints, jumps, and throws. According to CBC Sports’ Jamie Strashin, Warner’s top events were the 100 meter run (he ran 10.12 seconds) and the long jump (8.24 meters).
