Music Show in the Theater

Samantha Nguyen

The Mustang Band performed their first show for parents on March 30 at 6:00 p.m. in the Garvey Theater. Over 130 audience members enjoyed the 45 minute performance. Tickets were $1 for students and $2 for non-student guests. All students were required to be accompanied by a chaperone 18 or older.

Performing on stage for my mother and sister and the other parents and family members in the audience made me a little nervous. The spotlight shining on us caused me to overthink but we performed our six songs without problems. After the sixth song, I was a little out of breath. When the show concluded we received many compliments which gave me a feeling of pride. We are scheduled to have one more concert before the end of the year and I feel excited to perform again. Currently we are required to wear these face masks with zippers on them for woodwind players.
